Chiquita, 2 y.o. Female Whippet / Terrier Mix : Companion Animal Network
Chiquita (AKA Chika), was rescued from a local N. Texas kill shelter the day before Thanksgiving 2007. Chika is a bilingual dog and responds well to commands in both English and Spanish. She is guessed to be a 1-1/2 to 2 year old whippet/terrier mix and weighs in at 37 pounds. She was relinquished by her previous owners whose neighbors didn't like her in their shared yard. ---- Chika is a sweet dog who loves to play with her toys, run and play with her foster brother and sister, Jack and Echo. Chiquita is completely house broken and kennels up when asked. She has never had an accident in the house or in her kennel.---- Chika did initially show some signs of aggression and will attempt to dominate the roost but has since proven to her foster parents that she can obey and play second roll to the other more stable pack at her foster family’s home. It appears that the food aggression she originally had towards dogs [not humans] was because she was starved… for food and attention. ---- She can leap small buildings in a single bound and is faster then a speeding bullet. Now that she has recovered from her spay surgery she is officially ready for her own forever family along with many other dogs that were rescued this year by Companion Animal Network.--- Chika is a sweet and loving dog and would love a forever family with no cats or small dogs and would make a perfect running partner for those who lead an active lifestyle. Chika is up to date on all her vaccinations. This pet is house broken and Kennel trained!
